Since 2022, we have provided assistance packages through the WARMTH program. Ensuring that Ukrainians with disabilities have access to essential supplies during the winter months of wartime is not only a matter of survival, but also of dignity.
Although the needs of the disability community are often overlooked by humanitarian actors, persons with disabilities continue to demonstrate extraordinary strength and determination to remain in Ukraine. Our team prepares for winter challenges in advance and actively advocates for the right of persons with disabilities to be fully included in humanitarian assistance processes.

A Story of Support. Dreaming, Learning, and Living 30 Kilometers from the Front Line: Oleksandra’s Story
Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding communities endure daily shelling by Russian forces. Conditions are especially difficult in cities and villages located close to the front line. Oleksandra lives in one such community. Her name has been changed at her family’s request.
Over the course of her life, Oleksandra has suffered several strokes and each time had to relearn how to speak and move. Yet despite her physical condition and the daily dangers of war, she continues her education, holds on to her dreams, and finds the strength to keep moving forward.
